Germany: 12,400 Participants at EAS 2017 in Berlin

The Euro Attractions Show (EAS) in Berlin ended successfully on Thursday afternoon with a total of 12,400 visitors from 100 countries. Once again, the largest conference and trade show for the leisure and attractions industry in Europe, organized by IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions), achieved strong results (2016: 12,600 participants).

Among the trade fair visitors were 8,400 buyers who informed themselves about the latest trends in the leisure sector at the three-day event. This included high-ranking representatives and decision-makers from German amusement parks such as Hansa-Park and Fort Fun as well as international players Merlin Entertainments, Compagnie des Alpes or Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

In addition to roller coasters, interactive dark rides, water slides, arcade games, ticketing solutions and safety products, VR games and applications were once again part of the event’s most discussed innovations, which were presented by renowned manufacturers (542 companies in total). “[…] The attractions industry is strong and growing in the EMEA region. That growth combined with the opportunity to see the latest innovations, learn from industry leaders, and experience all Berlin has to offer worked together to create these great results”, says Paul Noland, President and President and CEO of IAAPA. Read our detailed trade fair report from Berlin in the upcoming EAP issue 6/2017. Next year the trade show will take place at Amsterdam’s RAI Convention Center (25-27 September 2018). (eap)
