Las Vegas: Excalibur Hotel & Casino Launches 4D Theater
In its related “Fun Dungeon” entertainment complex, the Las Vegas-based Excalibur Hotel & Casino opened the new “Ultimate 4-D Experience” 4-D cinema, in which guests can experience short movies in 3-D high definition with a running time of approx. 15 minutes each. The movies are supplemented by additional in-theater and in-seat effects for a completely immersive experience.
The attraction, which was supplied by SimEx-Iwerks (provider of 3D and 4D attractions), counts a total of 72 seats and currently features three different short movies, created in cooperation with Warner Bros. Consumer Products: “San Andreas 4-D Experience®”, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island – The 4-D Experience®” and “The LEGO® MovieTM 4-D Experience”, a custom-made animated film that takes place in the fictional world of The Lego® MovieTM. The new 4-D cinema is open daily, shows run every twenty minutes with each experience playing once an hour. (eap)
