After 15 years at the helm of France’s Futuroscope theme park, Chairman of the Board Dominique Hummel has reportedly announced to resign from his position in March 2018. According to the French journal Nouvelle République, Hummel had announced it yesterday during an event for companies from the Vienne department held at the park’s “Le Palais de Congrès“ convention center. The news have also been confirmed on the Twitter account of the park’s press department. In the future, Hummel will continue to pursue his tasks as head of innovation at the parent company Compagnie des Alpes, but from now as a freelance consultant. In recent years, Dominique Hummel has been instrumental in driving the park’s strategy and growth.

Most recently, the park had announced a new space adventure to be launched at its “Le KineMAX“ theater starting on 10 February 2018 – only one of several novelties planned for 2018. Visitors will be able to accompany French astronaut Thomas Pesquet on a trip through the universe. The space adventure will last 25 minutes. (eap)
