Dollywood Unveils 10-Year, Half-Billion-Dollar Investment Strategy

More than incredible 500 million US dollars were announced yesterday by the Dollywood Company for its new ten-year investment plan for the Smoky Mountains region in Tennessee. As part of this extensive investment strategy, the first step will be the construction of “Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort”, a 302-room lodging facility. It will be built adjacent to the existing “DreamMore Resort and Spa” and is scheduled to open in 2023. With this long-term, comprehensive investment, the company will make another important contribution to the development of the region.

“I’m always dreaming and coming up with new ideas and things I want our guests to experience,” founder and entertainment legend Dolly Parton explained. “We wanted to talk about this last year, but with everything going on, we knew we needed to pause because it just wasn’t the right time to do it. Things are looking brighter and with the popularity of the Smokies soaring, there are more people than ever wanting to visit our area.”

The new resort will offer accommodation options for multi-generational families and couples. The spacious family suites and bunk rooms will feature lovely details inspired by the beauty of the Smokies, inviting guests of all ages to enjoy their stay together. Across its five floors, the resort will also provide themed suites and loft rooms for a unique overnight experience. More than three million guests annually visit Dollywood Theme Park and its associated water park, Dollywood’s Splash Country, operated by Herschend Family Entertainment in partnership with Dolly Parton.
