USA: “Wonder of the Seas‘“ Mayden Voyage Announced for March 2022

It was only this summer that the “Odyssey of the Seas“, the newest cruise ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet, set sail – now the company has already announced the departure date of the new gigaliner “Wonders of the Seas“. On 4 March 2022, the ship, which is designed for a total of 6,988 guests, will depart from its home port in Fort Lauderdale (Florida) on its maiden voyage to the Caribbean before heading torwards Barcelona and Rome. In Royal Caribbean tradition, this ship is also a floating entertainment mile with numerous guest experiences and offerings.

The “The Ultimate Abyss“ stainless steel slide, which features numerous lighting effects and will be the “tallest slide at sea“ according to Royal Caribbean, was supplied by German manufacturer Wiegand. Besides the slide the ship will offer: a “FlowRider“ surf simulator by WhiteWater, the “The Perfect Storm“ water slide trio, the “Splashaway Bay“ water play area for children, climbing walls, a zip line, a variety of pools, a show theater, an arcade area and a mini golf course as well as several restaurants, bars and cafes.
