ITB: Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis Has Best Austria Offer of the Year 2007

For the second time already, the Tyrolean tourism region Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is able to look forward to the Best-of-Austria Award: Within the scope of the ITB trade fair presentation of Österreich Werbung (ÖW – Austria advertising) in Berlin, major German tour operators and travel journalists nominated the pathways in the “adventure mountains” of Tyrol as the best Austrian offer in 2007. “We try to stage hiking as an exciting experience for the whole family,” said Josef Schirgi at the award ceremony, Managing Director of the TVB Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis. With three adventure pathways, children are offered the opportunity to see nature in a new light. The “Sturzflug” (nosedive) in Serfaus is a detective story that young hikers have to solve, the “Hexenweg” (witches’ path) in Fiss beckons families to explore, marvel and move about, and on the “Forscherpfad” (explorer path) in Ladis, participants can learn everything about groundhogs, ants and much more. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis triumphed as a winner in all categories. EAP print issue 5/2006 already provided readers with a comprehensive report on the “Fisser Flieger” (Fiss flyer) – a unique, quite outstanding attraction in this region. (eap)
