Belgium: Aqualibi Water Park to Reopen on 25 December

Last summer, devastating floods had caused severe damage in Western and Central Europe. Some amusement parks were also affected by the flood disaster, in particular Walibi Belgium in the Belgian region of Wallonia (cp. EAP news of 16 July 2021). After several months of clean-up and repair works, the amusement park was able to reopen in early October, at least able to celebrate the Halloween season with its guests.

Now the reopening date for the associated indoor water park Aqualibi, in whose technical rooms the water was up to three meters high, has also been announced: From 25 December, just in time for the Christmas holidays, guests can visit the facility again after a five-month closure period. Visitors aged 16 and older will be required to show the “Covid Safe Ticket” (proof of vaccination, recovery or negative test) in accordance with current Corona regulations, and the wearing of a mouth-nose protection is mandatory for all visitors aged ten and older in the entrance and exit areas, the changing rooms and the restaurant.
