USA: Meow Wolf Welcomes Jose Tolosa as New CEO
Jose Tolosa has been named new Chief Executive Officer of the art collective Meow Wolf. This news was recently announced by the company, which currently operates three permanent exhibitions in Santa Fe, Las Vegas (see EAP 3/21) and Denver (see EAP news of 6 Aug 2021). Tolosa, who joins from a former position at media group ViacomCBS where he most recently held the position as Chief Transformation Officer, will focus on continuing the growth of Meow Wolf.

This unique and pivotal moment in the company’s history is an opportunity to seek sustainable, thoughtful growth, expanding our exhibitions and engaging beyond the four walls. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to become a part of such a fantastic organization and I look forward to working with the talented Meow Wolf team,” comments Tolosa.
He takes over his new position from former three-member Co-CEO team Carl Christensen, Ali Rubinstein and Jim Ward. Ward stepped down as Co-CEO in 2021 and remains an advisor to the company. Christensen and Rubinstein will return to their original roles as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Creative Officer, respectively. Christopher Sobecki, Chairman of Meow Wolf’s board, says, “[…] We are excited for the new focus Jose will bring to the company as we continue to take Meow Wolf into new dimensions.”
