USA: Boeing 747 to Be Turned into New Visitor Attraction in Las Vegas

The AREA15 art and entertainment district in Las Vegas is soon to be enriched by another attraction. Fisher Brothers, the real estate firm that opened AREA15 in 2020, has announced that it has acquired a Boeing 747. The aircraft previously was an art piece at the Burning Man festival, held annually in Nevada‘s Black Rock Desert, and will now be temporarily stored on the grounds of Las Vegas Speedway until a decision is made on its final location. Fully assembled, the Boeing will be 45.7 metres long (150 feet) and 18.3 metres wide (60 feet).

“We are incredibly excited about the immeasurable creative opportunities that come with repurposing this 747 jet. The possibilities of what we can accomplish with this purchase are endless, and we look forward to sharing more as our vision takes shape,“ said Winston Fisher, Partner of Fisher Brothers and CEO of AREA15. “The acquisition and remodeling of this plane closely follows our mission at AREA15 of building an emotional connection for visitors through art, entertainment, and experiences,“ he added.

Following the success of AREA15 in Las Vegas, Fisher Brothers announced that they will expand in spring 2021 and open another location in Orlando. (eap)
