Germany: Change of Management at Bali Therme in Bad Oeynhausen

After almost nine years at the helm of Germany’s Bali Therme in Bad Oeynhausen (North Rhine-Westphalia), Managing Director Cornelius Nolte (photo) is leaving the company this month. Thanks to his dedicated work, Nolte had made a significant contribution to leading the thermal spa facility into the ranks of Germany’s top wellness and spa facilities. The Bali Therme – which offers its guests a relaxation oasis with an East Asian flair – was able to maintain this leading position until its Covid-19 related closure in March 2020, it says. Due to the (known) changes caused by the pandemic, Bali Therme is forced to break new ground and completely reposition itself on the market in large parts, the company said.

We had already reported about a planned sale of the spa facility, in January 2019 Bali Therme was taken over by the company IWR (International Wellness Resorts) from the Netherlands – a subsidiary of the Spanish Aspro Parks group – and Continental Leisure Projects from Luxembourg, which are now the sole owners of Bali Therme GmbH. Cornelius Nolte will continue to advise the new owners of the spa facility in the future. “The takeover phase with new ownership and the establishment on the German market is now over. With the committed and qualified team – combined with the new orientation – I know that Bali Therme is in good hands,” says Cornelius Nolte. Willem Künne and Peter Hölscher from IWR thank him for the positive cooperation and are looking forward to stay connected with Cornelius Nolte. (eap)
