USA: New Interactive Batman Experience Turns NYC into Gotham City

New York City’s Spyscape is a (by London-based investment firm Archimedia) privately funded museum, open to the public since 2018, designed by British star architect Sir David Adjaye and dedicated to the themes of espionage, agents and superheroes. With “Batman x SPYSCAPE”, the museum, located just a few hundred meters south of Central Park, is partnering with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment to present a new interactive experience that will immerse guests into Gotham City as of this summer.

In the new adventure, visitors will become recruits to Batman and Batgirl, helping them solve mysterious kidnappings and save the world on top-secret missions. The physical game experience in the style of an escape room game is supplemented by a real-time app for the smartphone. The app guides visitors on their mission through the museum’s premises and provides them with messages from Batman. Event after their visit, guests can stay connected to the game via the app. The hybrid experience opened on June 8.

Another Batman escape room adventure, called “Batman Gotham City Adventures and scheduled to be launched in Paris at the end of this year, was announced earlier. (eap)
