Germany: KristallTurm Receives Bavarian State Prize for 3D High Ropes Course Configurator

Ministerialdirigent Dr. Markus Eder (r.) verleiht den Bayerischen Staatspreis 2022 an KristallTurm, vertreten durch GF Heinz Tretter und Marketing-Mitarbeiterin Sara Kern

KristallTurm, the Lenggries/Bavaria-based company which was founded in 2010 by Heinz Tretter (master carpenter & technical business economist) and has since installed numerous KristallTurm® high ropes courses around the world (read also our story “Out into the world with Bavarian high ropes courses” in EAP 1/2018), has now been awarded the “Bavarian State Prize 2022” at the International Crafts Fair (Internationale Handwerksmesse/IHM) in Munich for its self-developed 3D configurator, which was introduced in fall 2019. The award has been presented by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs since 1952 for special design and technical achievements in the skilled trades.

With the 3D high ropes course configurator, KristallTurm succeeded in the field of technical achievements: With the programme, interested parties have the possibility to plan their individual high ropes course with desired components, to design it in terms of colour and to view it from all sides, in order to finally receive an offer suitable for the individual configuration. Thanks to continuous further development, there will soon also be a profit calculator as an additional tool to provide information about the costs and potential income of a facility. The State Prize was presented by Undersecretary Dr. Markus Eder, Department Head for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses, Crafts, Trade and Liberal Professions at the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
