Germany: New “Cliff Slinger” Wild Swing Attraction Now Open at Potts Park

Shortly before the fall vacations begin in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the regional Potts Park in Minden has now opened its new “Cliff Slinger” attraction – a Wild Swing supplied by ART Engineering, the arms of which rotate 360 degrees and swing passengers, who are always seated in an upright position, through the air at heights of up to about twelve meters. A total of 16 passengers can take a ride together, sitting back to back (eight people per row), and even small guests as young as three years old and 95 cm tall are able to ride accompanied by an adult.

The visitors sit in foamed bucket seats, which are equipped with individually adjustable single restraints. Depending on the selected ride program, which is determined by the operator, a capacity of around 500 passengers per hour is achieved. The new attraction at Potts Park, which is the second of this type now open following the installation of a Wild Swing at Austria’s Fantasiana Erlebnispark this year, is located in the “Stone Age”-themed area of the park. Adorned with decorative elements such as sloth figures and surrounding artificial rock design (theme design by Alex Korting), the novelty, which occupies a compact footprint of 11 x 6 meters, is an eye-catcher for guests.
