Germany: More Leisure Operations Introduce Digital Solutions – Convious Wins New Partners in Germany

As part of ongoing efforts to optimize operations and the customer journey through digitization which is seen in the European leisure and attractions industry, three more German leisure companies will be among those working together with Dutch eCommerce specialist Convious in the future, as the provider has now announced. With the Plohn amusement park in Saxony, the Erlebnispark Tripsdrill animal and amusement park in Baden-Wuerttemberg and the event shipping company Rössler Line from the federal state of Hessen, the company wins three new partners in Germany.

In particular, the family-run Rössler Line, which is already managed in the seventh generation by CEO Bianka Rössler, is excited about its future development path: “Event shipping is a comparatively small industry. With Convious, we have found a software that provides everything we need, such as an online shop and booking software, and at the same time is so flexible that we can also map unique processes without any problems,” says Rössler. With its four ships, the Hessian shipping company undertakes, among other things, castle tours, trips to the Loreley region as well as event trips and rents out the ships for parties and events. “For us as a fast-growing company on a European course, Germany is an important market. The three new partners [...] show us that we are not only on course for expansion, but also for success,” says Werner Dullmaier, Managing Director of the Germany-Austria-Switzerland region at Convious.

Also, an optimized customer journey could also be an approach to react to the increasing price sensitivity of visitor target groups due to the current high inflation: “This includes being honest and open about prices and giving the customer choices, through initiatives like dynamic pricing. This is where the cost can be lowered during quieter times to enhance accessibility for all budgets. […] VIP events or those with limited supply are also a great way of generating FOMO [editor’s note: ‘Fear of missing out’],” comments Andy Povey, Managing Director UK and Ireland for Convious.
