IAAPA Attractions Expo for the Next Ten Years in Orlando

As the IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) recently announced, the IAAPA Attractions Expo will take place in Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) during the next ten years. Initially the trade fair was scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in 2011 as it did in 2009. But now the Expo will be hosted in Orlando from 2010 to 2019. This was decided by IAAPA’s board of directors and supported by the association’s executive committee and manufacturers and suppliers committee. The crucial factors of this decision were amongst others that Orlando is the preferred expo location according to attendees and exhibitors, the exhibition facilities, a good worldwide access for exhibitors and attendees as well as cost savings. With an exhibition space of around 20 hectares, the 65-hectare large OCCC is the second largest convention center in the US. (eap)
