USA: Disneyland Resort Anaheim Plans to Open New Hotel in 2021

California’s Disneyland Resort Anaheim plans to open a new “Four Diamond“ hotel in 2021, expanding the existing offer for overnight guests consisting of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. The new accommodation facility is planned to be built at the west end of Downtown Disney, offering a total of 700 rooms. Furthermore, the hotel will feature a dedicated platform for the Disneyland Monorail for direct transport into Disneyland park.

Guest rooms, public spaces and gardens will provide views of the Downtown Disney district. In addition, an upper-level restaurant and lounge will give guests a view of the popular Disneyland park fireworks. The new Four Diamond hotel will connect all Disney hotels through lush gardens and beautifully landscaped walkways. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2018, with the opening planned for 2021. In its first five years of operation, the new hotel is expected to generate total taxes of approx. 21.5 million Euro (25 Million US Dollar) for the city of Anaheim. (eap)
