Josef Wund Dies in Airplane Crash

As has just become known, German architect and entrepreneur Josef Wund was amongst the three victims of the crash of a Cessna business jet in Germany yesterday.

The 79-year-old architect and entrepreneur designed and built Germany’s Therme Erding in the 1990s together with his son Jörg. Besides Therme Erding, which is considered as Europe’s largest thermal bathing complex, the Wund Group also operates the Therme Bad Wörishofen, Badeparadies Schwarzwald, Badewelt Sinsheim and Badewelt Euskirchen.

The industry mourns the loss of an influential and innovative pioneer and investor in the water park sector. (eap)
