Hong Kong: HKDL Entertains Visitors with New “Moana – A Homecoming Celebration” Show

Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) has recently launched its new open-air show “Moana – A Homecoming Celebration”, which is staged in the park’s “Adventureland” theme area. The show, which was created on the basis of the equally named Disney computer animation movie released in 2016, is an approx. 20-minute production presenting Moana’s sailing adventures in the South Seas, featuring music, dance, puppetry and storytelling.

Besides its new entertainment show, HKDL is working on the realization of further novelties in terms of new attractions and theme areas (cf. our Disney Report in EAP, 3/18). Also, the iconic “Sleeping Beauty Castle” is currently undergoing a major transformation to be reopened in 2019. In its 2017 financial year, the Asian Disney park again registered a growth in visitor attendance with an increase of international guests (cf. EAP news from February 21st, 2018). (eap)
