Germany: Dr. Fabrizio Sepe & “Leo the Lion“ Celebrate Their Anniversary

25 years ago, after his studies of natural sciences and economics in Switzerland and Italy, Dr. Fabrizio Sepe joined the family business Serengeti-Park Hodenhagen, which was founded back in 1997 by his father Paolo Sepe in Germany’s Lüneburg Heath region. In 1997, Fabrizio Sepe took over the management of the animal and leisure park together with his sister Veronica and his cousin Giovanni. Since April 2017, Dr. Sepe has been the sole owner of the company (cf. EAP news from April 10th, 2017).

In the year of his personal park anniversary, Sepe looks back with pride: “1993 to 2018 – those were 25 exciting and incredibly beautiful years for me at Serengeti-Park, with all its guests, staff, its many fascinating animals and the proximity to nature. To make children’s eyes shine every day and to contribute to the conservation of endangered species with our breeding and educational commitment – I can’t imagine a better place to work or a better job […],” says Sepe.

But not only the Serengeti-Park owner is celebrating his personal park anniversary this year, the park’s mascot “Leo the Lion” is also a “birthday boy”: For already 20 years the beloved character, which was designed by Francesca Springolo, has been the animal face of the park. Today, Leo celebrates its anniversary as part of the Serengeti-Park’s Children’s Day, with many hands-on activities and a versatile entertainment program for the park’s youngest guests. (eap)
