Netherlands/China: “CORPUS – A Walk through Your Body“ Expands to China

Opened in 2008 close to the Dutch city of Leiden, the CORPUS edutainment center invites guests to “take a walk through the human body”, discovering a range of oversized, walkable exhibits designed as internal organs as well as interactive play and quiz stations (cf. EAP 2/2009). Now the experience exhibition intends to expand for the first time: In summer 2020, the world’s second CORPUS attraction is set to open in the Chinese city of Ma’anshan (located in Anhui province, around 50 kilometers away from Nanjing), to be followed by the opening of additional sites throughout the country in the following years. Partner for the attraction’s AV technology and show control equipment is Dutch Lagotronics Projects company.

Henri Remmers, Founder of CORPUS and President of CORPUS World Wide is proud of the expansion and of contributing to the promotion of health issues: “As in many countries of the world, health is an important issue that needs lots of attention in China. CORPUS China will contribute to improving public health,” comments Remmers. Mark Beumers, CEO of Lagotronics Projects, is looking forward to the project: “Just like the Dutch Experience Center, CORPUS China will be a surprising and educative journey through the human body for all ages […].” (eap)
