Entrepreneur Wants to Build Biblical Theme Park in China

The Chinese businessman Leung Moon Lam from Hong Kong intends – provided that he gets approval from Chinese authorities – to build a theme park with the topics religion and the Bible. The construction of the 2.3 square meter site should begin in 2010. The facility, which will be built in the province of Lianoning in China’s north-eastern province Liaoning for about 450 million euros (659 million dollars), will be named “Harmony World”. The attractions would tell the stories of Chinese and Western cultures. This would include among others Buddhism and Taoism as well as stories from the Bible such as that about Noah’s Ark. (eap)
