Germany: Change in Management at GMF Neuried

Germany: Change in Management at GMF Neuried

(v.l.n.r.) Rainer Pethra und Thomas Meier.

As announced today, Thomas Meier will take over the management of GMF Neuried & Co. KG (GMF) effective from 1st of July 2019 and thus following in the footsteps of Managing Director Rainer Pethran. Pethran, who joined the company about 30 years ago as sales manager and consultant and has been Managing Director of the company since 2010, is resigning from his position for private reasons. Under Pethran’s leadership, not only the number of GMF/vivamar operations almost doubled, but a GMF quality management system for bathing operations and hotels has also been established in the last years. The recognized waterpark industry expert Pethran has always been committed to aligning pool operation projects more multifunctionally to the needs of the business and its customers than to formal process criteria. His successor Thomas Meier has been with GMF for 20 years and has worked in all areas of technical and business management at GMF facilities.

GMF currently operates 21 hotels, leisure pools and spas under the brands “managed by GMF” and “vivamar”, and is a subsidiary of the ASPRO Group based in Madrid. With more than 1,000 employees and over seven million guests per year, GMF is one of the largest bathing operations and thermal spa operator groups based in Germany. (eap)
