Germany: Europa-Park Celebrates Re-Opening of Scandinavian Theme Area

Europa-Park-Inhaber Roland Mack (l.) und Moderator Ingo Dubinski präsentieren den neugestalteten skandinavischen Themenbereich.

After a construction period of eight months, Germany’s Europa-Park celebrates the reopening of its Scandinavian theme area today. While the renovated “Fjord Rafting” water attraction already started operation at the beginning of this year’s season, inviting visitors to an adventurous raft trip through the cave of a troll, guests can now also experience the “Vindjammer” giant swing and a “wobbly bridge”. Also, the new “Fjord Restaurant” opens its doors today, offering delicious food in a Nordic ambience.

This autumn, the Scandinavian theme area is set to grow by another new family attraction, a dark ride named “Snorri Touren”. Here, guests will be able to encounter future Rulantica mascot “Snorri” (an octopus) for the first time.

Read more about “Scandinavia 2.0” at Europa-Park in our upcoming magazine issue, which will be published on 2nd September. (eap)
