Netherlands: Efteling Adds New Holiday Houses for Groups to Accommodation Offer

Dutch Efteling theme park has just expanded its accommodation offer by adding twelve new holiday homes for groups, which are located in the Efteling Bosrijk vacation park. Most of the new prefabricated houses were inaugurated during the past weeks, the last four units were set up today. The new group accommodations offer six bedrooms (for a total of twelve guests) each, in addition to three bathrooms, a spacious living area with a kitchen, sitting areas and a terrace.

“The new holiday homes were built with regard to sustainability, using LED lamps and renouncing the use of natural gas for heating and cooking. The houses are connected to our geothermal system: In this air-conditioning system, the groundwater circulates through Efteling and is pumped back into the ground. In this way, we save energy,” explains Efteling Chairman Fons Jurgens.

By expanding its accommodation offer, Efteling now offers a total of 35 holiday homes with a capacity of up to twelve guests: 20 units are located in the Bosrijk vacation park and 15 more in the nearby Efteling Loonsche Land vacation park. In addition, the offer for overnight guests includes a number of smaller holiday homes as well as hotel rooms. (eap)
