Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa in Australia

In the Natural World Heritage region of the Blue Mountains in Australia, the first luxury resort from the Emirates Group opened outside of Dubai this autumn: the Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa. Nature conservation and the protection of species also play a major role in this project and the hotel facility is aptly located in a wildlife sanctuary situated between two national parks on 1,600-sqm large premises. The resort itself only takes up two percent of this space, however, and “protects its immediate environment and endangered species, while still fulfilling all of the quality standards a luxury resort has to meet,” says Chairman and Chief Executive, his Royal Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum. All together, 40 suites each with their own terrace, own indoor and outdoor pool, separate sleeping and living areas, luxurious bathroom and an open fireplace await guests here. As the Emirates Hotels & Resorts trademark, this new facility also has what is referred to as the “Timeless Spa” area, the ambience of which reflects the resort’s landscape and conveys the regional culture. Among other leisure activities, resort guests may take part in guided wildlife hikes to see kangaroos and wombats, or take safaris. (eap)
