Abu Dhabi: “Yas Bay“ Mixed-Use Complex Taking Shape on Yas Island

Miral Asset Management has announced that the construction of the new mixed-use complex Yas Bay on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island is making progress. The completion of the public realm and the infrastructure is expected for December 2019. The main focal point of Yas Bay The Waterfront, will include a pier with 37 cafés and restaurants, 19 retail outlets and a beach club. The Yas Bay Arena, which will also be located in the Waterfront area, will serve as a multi-purpose indoor venue for events with a maximum capacity for 18,000 people. The construction process of the arena is completed by around 75 percent. The Waterfront will incorporate two hotels, one of them of the Hilton brand with 546 rooms and several restaurants. Construction of the Hilton hotel is completed by around 60 percent and will be finished in 2020.

Yas Bay will also include a residence complex (“Residences at the Bay“) with 35 residential plots, 19 recreational parks, three Mosques and two schools in direct connection to the Waterfront. To strengthen the local media sector an almost 30 hectare large creative hub named twofour54 is being built for the media and entertainment industry. Miral is investing around one billion euros (four billion Dirham) in this major project. (eap)
