Nysa – Europe’s First Resident Cirque du Soleil Show Coming to Berlin in 2020

October 28, 2020 will see the premiere of the first resident Cirque du Soleil show in Europe, named “Nysa” – debuting in the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. This was announced by the Canadian entertainment group earlier this week. Presented and co-produced by Live Nation, ticket sales already started.

Daniel Lamarre, President and CEO of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, says: “For Cirque du Soleil, this is a beautiful way of celebrating a 25-year relationship with the city. This new and exciting production is most certainly the best way to highlight the privileged bond we have with Berlin.”

Cirque du Soleil celebrated its German premiere with the “Saltimbanco” show in 1995. Since then, 14 productions have been performed in 16 German cities. Nya is the first permanent show exclusively produced for a European city. The production, created in collaboration with the well-known stage directors Lulu Helbæk and Simone Ferrari, tells the story of a fearless young woman who longs for adventure and open skies, according to the storyline.
