Orlando/Florida: Preliminary Results of IAAPA Expo 2019

Last Friday the annual IAAPA Expo 2019 came to an end. The International Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (IAAPA) recently released this year‘s results of the trade show. With a total of 42,600 attendees, which informed themselves about new attractions, technologies and innovations on the four-day event in the Orange County Convention Center, numbers of visitors have increased by around 1,500 guests (2018: 41,600 attendees). With 27,800 qualified buyers among the trade show visitors, also these numbers have increased in comparison to 26,000 buyers in 2018. “With the largest attendance in IAAPA Expo history, this year’s event is a testament to the continued growth and strength of the attractions industry worldwide,“ comments Hal McEvoy, president and CEO of IAAPA.

One of the show highlights was the keynote speech of Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, during the “GM & Owners Breakfast“, who also released new details about “Bolt“, the first roller coaster which will be built on a cruise ship, in cooperation with supplier Maurer.
