Netherlands: Efteling Adds New Scene Elements to “Symbolica” Dark Ride

In due time for the start of Dutch Christmas holidays, Efteling is prepared to surprise its visitors with some smaller innovations in its “Symbolica” dark ride, which since its opening in the summer of 2017 (cf. EAP 5/2017) has been enthusing guests as one of the park’s most popular family attractions.

Up until now, visitors met with valet O.J. Punctuel only in the entrance area to the attraction, to be introduced into the “court etiquette” before entering the castle on their way to King Pardoes. Now, the park has created new elements for some of the dark ride’s scenes, allowing valet Punctuel to appear inside the castle various times … (eap)
