Canada: Vortex International Opens New Headquarters with Expanded Manufacturing Capabilities

Vortex International, the Canadian manufacturer of water play structures, has recently relocated its headquarters in Pointe Claire (near Montréal), in order to expand its manufacturing capabilities. With over 20,000 square meters (220,000 square feet) of space, the new facility is three times larger than its prior location. According to the company, this is needed to keep up with increasing customer demand, maintaining short production times and quality. In addition, the new facility includes a design studio and product testing labs. Also, an in-house fitness center is planned as a work-life-balance offer for employees.

The move comes as the company prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year. “Our new facility will help us expand our capabilities in all facets of our business including manufacturing, R&D and sales. We are investing in new equipment, technology and our people to prepare the organization for the next 25 years […],” said Stephen Hamelin, founder and President of Vortex. (eap)
