Germany: VDFU Elects New Committee

The German Association of Amusement Parks & Attractions (G.: Verband der Deutschen Freizeitparks & -unternehmen e.V.; VDFU) elected a new committee during its annual general meeting held on February 5th at Europa-Park in Rust. Klaus-Michael Machens, who has been serving as President of the industry association for over 18 years, stepped back from his role. He handed over the symbolic baton to Friedhelm Freiherr von Landsberg-Velen, owner of the holiday and leisure park Schloss Dankern, who was unanimously elected new President by the general meeting. The members of the association decided to appoint their long-standing Chairman Michael Machens as honorary member.
