050320-Denmark: Susanne Mørch Koch to Succeed Lars Liebst as CEO of Tivoli

Lars Liebst, who has been serving as CEO of Denmark’s Tivoli park for over 20 years now, will hand over his duties to newly appointed CEO Susanne Mørch Koch – together with the Tivoli Advisory Board, Liebst had initiated a succession plan to find the right candidate for his position this past December (cf. EAP news of 23 Dec 2019). Mørch Koch graduated from Copenhagen Business School with a Master of Science in International Business Administration and Modern Languages. During her career she held top-level management positions at DSB train operating company. Currently, she is serving as CEO of Danske Spil, the Danish national lottery. In addition, Mørch Koch is a board member of COOP Denmark and Scandic Hotel Group.

“At both DSB and Danske Spil, Susanne Mørch Koch has proven her strengths as a leader of complex organizations in fast-changing times, when she had to secure future-proof traditional companies and at the same time live up to customers' and the public's high expectations for operations, renewal and good experiences. […] That is why Susanne is the perfect match to follow Lars Liebst […],“ comments Tom Knutzen, Chairman of the Advisory Board of Tivoli. Susanne Mørch Koch will start her new position at Tivoli on September 1st 2020 at the latest. (eap)
