GB: West Park Leisure Centre with New Family-Friendly High Ropes Course

The sports and leisure complex West Park Leisure Center, located in Long Eaton (Nottingham, GB) recently expanded its existing visitor offer by the addition of a new family-friendly high ropes course. The “Discovery“ Sky Trail, which was installed by Innovative Leisure, is a seven-pillar model with two levels and a total of 22 climbing elements such as rolling logs and “walk the plank“ sections. For the first time at a UK venue, a so-called “Roller Rail“ element was incorporated into a Sky Trail course, where guests get into their climbing harness and pull themselves to the opposite platform using ropes.

Justin Palfrey, Assistant Regional Director (North and Midlands) at Parkwood Leisure (operator of West Park Leisure Centre), comments: “This is a great new attraction for the whole family and compliments facilities at West Park LC. If our customers are looking for an adrenaline rush, they can rise to the challenge and navigate around the rope, bridge and beam course.” Phil Pickersgill, Managing Director of Innovative Leisure, adds: “We are increasingly seeing local authorities and operational partners such as Parkwood Leisure looking to alternative leisure activities to offer their customers. The new high ropes course at West Park Leisure Centre is a perfect example of this and brings to the venue another fun, physically challenging activity which will appeal to the whole family. (eap)
