Germany: VR Coaster Changes Production & Donates 500 Protective Visors

In order to provide support in the defense against the corona virus, Germany-based VR Coaster is now using its production capacities for the manufacture of protective visors, designed in accordance with DIN standards in order to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 between people. Usually, the company produces head harnesses and components for VR goggles – thanks to that, it has now the necessary resources on stock and is able to act quickly.

“Our CTO Dennis Gordt and Christian Simon reacted very quickly here and got production up and running. I am surprised about the dynamics how a company like ours can react to such a situation, and maybe this is an inspiration for other manufacturers of the industry,” says Prof. Thomas Wagner, Managing Director of VR Coaster.

Such protective visors are in great demand not only in the medical sector, but also for workers in retail trade. In view of the acute lack of protective masks, the company will donate the first 500 pieces. (eap)
