Germany: Safari Ride Through Experience at Safariland Stukenbrock Re-Opens

During the past couple of weeks, the management of Safariland Stukenbrock, an animal and theme park located in Germany’s East-Westphalian region, worked closely together with the federal state’s authorities and government to develop a concept for a partly re-opening of the park. The permission to open the ride through safari experience has been granted, so that from today on, guests can again enter the facility in their cars and observe lions, tigers, giraffes, elephants and many more wildlife animal species. Due to the current contact regulations by the German government, not more than two adults (with their kids or people they are living with) are allowed in one vehicle.

“We are very happy that we created the drive through safari. We have to face a lot of challenges during this corona crisis and the postponed season opening. The expanses for feeding and care of the animals, running costs for the park and for employees remain – without the calculated income, which we otherwise would have generated from the beginning of the season. This is why we hope to attract a lot of visitors to the drive through safari,“ comments the park management. Tickets for the attraction have to be purchased online and printed at home to enable a contactless entrance procedure. (eap)
