Germany: Wibit Develops “BeachCocoon“ for Keeping the Distance at the Beach

In response to the global COVID 19 crisis, the German company Wibit, which is known in the leisure industry for its inflatable water park structures, has developed the “BeachCocoon”: a three-by-three-meter large beach cabin, which is designed to facilitate social distancing measures on the beach. The inflatable, easily stowable beach cabin offers space for two sun loungers and can be closed off with curtains at the sides and on the top. The cabins can also be modularly assembled to form larger structures, so that several persons from the same household can spend time together on the beach. The individual “BeachCocoons” are numbered to enable advance reservation of the cabins for a specific time slot. (eap)
