Germany: “Mission to Mars“ VR Experience Comes to Munich Shopping Center

The educative “Mission to Mars” virtual reality game play, which was developed by German company SPREE Interactive in cooperation with Pixomondo and ProSiebenSat.1 (cf. EAP News of 2 Dec 2019), will be available as of 6th August at its first installation in Munich’s Forum Schwanthalerhöhe shopping center. In SPREE’s free-roam VR arena, up to six players will be able to virtually discover the “red planet” at the same time, solving challenges and missions together during the 15-minute game play.

“Adding the SPREE Arena and the Mission to Mars experience to our summer holiday offerings is very exciting for us. We are always looking for fun and unique ways to attract new guests. It’s a great family experience and we are sure our guests will be delighted,” comments Lars Sammann, Center Manager of Forum Schwanthalerhöhe.

The shopping center will offer the VR experience temporarily during the month of August. Read more about the ongoing trend of retailtainment in our special feature in EAP issue 2/2020. (eap)
