USA: Jim Dunn Named New Member of “WWA Hall of Fame“ – ADG Receives Award for US Waterpark Project

During the virtual edition of this year’s  “WWA Show“ (from 6th to 8th Oct 2020), the World Waterpark Association’s annual trade show, which due to the corona pandemic had to be organized as an online event this time (cf. EAP news of 25 Aug 2020), Jim Dunn, president of New York-based Aquatic Development Group (ADG), has been inducted into the “WWA Hall of Fame“. Winners of the “Hall of Fame Award“ are recognized for their noteworthy achievements in the development and advancement of the water park industry.

Jim Dunn started at ADG in 1988 working in the field of designing wave generation equipment and filtration systems. In his 30 years of experience in the field he worked closely with renowned waterparks. After Herb Ellis (2000), chairman and founder of ADG, and Ken Ellis (2017), CEO, Dunn is the third member of the ADG management who became a “Hall of Famer“.

Also during this year’s WWA show, ADG received the “Leading Edge Award“ for the development and design of Soaky Mountain Waterpark, which celebrated its opening in June despite the ongoing corona crisis (cf. EAP news of 27 June 2020 & EAP 3/2020). “We are incredibly proud to have won the Leading Edge Award for our work on Soaky Mountain. […] Through the toughest of circumstances ADG was able to deliver a state-of-the-art project with some of the world’s best attractions, and in a record time. […] We could not be more pleased with the final product,“ comments Jim Dunn. (eap)
