Canada/Netherlands: LaserMaxx Takes over Operations of a Lasertag Location in Ottawa

The Dutch company LaserMaxx Lasergames, headquartered in De Bilt, announced to take over an existing laser tag location in Canada’s metropolis of Ottawa, which will be called LaserMaxx Ottawa in the future. The Dutch manufacturer of laser tag equipment will operate the former Laser Quest Ottawa attraction. At the end of September, the North American Laser Quest company announced the permanent closure of all its related Laser Quest locations throughout the USA and Canada due to the company’s economic damage caused by the corona crisis. The takeover happened in close collaboration with former Laser Quest general manager Philip Aldis.

Marcel Röhrs, founder and owner of LaserMaxx Lasergames, comments: “We are excited with the opening in Ottawa. Talks between Philip and us were to the point, fast and pleasant. He has shown that he knows how to run a quality laser tag location, deliver an amazing laser tag experience to players and we are very happy to be able to continue the laser tag tradition in Ottawa, albeit with a different name and a different laser tag system.“ Röhrs also expects the opening of more LaserMaxx locations in North America in the future.
