Netherlands: Lagotronics Develops Magical Illumination Route in Roermond

In cooperation with Citymanagement Roermond, Lagotronics – a specialist in creating immersive visitor experiences – developed the “Magic Route Roermond“ that now leads through the city center. With “magic wands“, kids are able to interactively activate 40 different light points for extra street lighting and 3D light objects with different effects. The “magic wand“ device was created in cooperation with the Pedagogical Social Work. After touching the labeled points, which can be found on several store windows, the illumination lasts for 15 seconds.

“We wanted to offer our visitors more: our beautiful city center should be a ‘place to be‘ instead of just a ‘place to shop‘. More experience is the magic word. And then the Magic Route… It has become an absolute hit. The children and parents love it and think it is a great experience and we are very happy with that. […],“ says Ine Creemers, director of the Foundation Citymanagement Roermond. This interactive system by Lagotronics is also a solution which can be implemented into theme- and leisure parks as well as in FECs, museums and zoos. (eap)
