Canada/USA: Empire Industries Announces Name Change to Dynamic Technologies Group – Jerry Pierson Appointed President & COO

Jerry Pierson ist neuer Präsident & COO der Dynamic Technologies Group

Empire Industries, the Toronto/Canada-based group of companies listed on the stock exchange with its related entities Dynamic Attractions, Dynamic Entertainment and Dynamic Structures, has changed its name to Dynamic Technologies Group. The name change became effective on March 1st. Also, at the beginning of this month, Jerry Pierson has taken over as the group’s new President and Chief Operating Officer. With over 25 years experience in the themed attraction business, he has been leading Dynamic’s organization in the US, based out of Orlando, in the role of Executive Vice President for the past three years, in addition to managing the controls department for the company. Pierson succeeds former Dynamic Attraction’s President and COO Hao Wang, who leaves his posts for personal reasons, but will remain as a new member in the company’s Board of Directors, which will help to make a smooth transition of leadership.

The changed company name from Empire Industries to Dynamic Technologies Group is a logical step in the further development of the business, comments Guy Nelson, Executive Chairman & CEO of the group: “The name change is reflective of many things, not the least of which is the strategic pivot the company has been making towards creating and leveraging its proprietary technology. One of the company’s core values is its commitment to innovation which has become a pre-requisite for success in the future. […] The name change is part of a natural evolution for the company.”

Dynamic Technologies Group’s ongoing projects include the construction of a new flying theater, named “SkyFly – Soar America”, which is scheduled to open this summer as part of The Island leisure and entertainment complex in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Dynamic Technologies has the option to purchase a 50 percent interest in this co-venture in order to profit from its operation in the long-term. (eap)
