GB: Drayton Manor Lifts Anker for New Theme Area & River Rapids Ride

With an all-new theme area, Britain’s Drayton Manor theme park is launching a new family-friendly and nautic-themed experience world. “Adventure Cove“ includes new and re-themed attractions for the young and young-at-heart. During their stay, guests are able to enjoy a ride down the refurbished river rapids water ride in a nine-person boat, passing past vibrantly painted shacks and seafarers. The two classic Drayton thrill rides “Shockwave“ (a stand-up coaster by Intamin) and the “Stormforce 10“ flume ride received a fresh coat of paint and have also been integrated into the new theme area.

Since the official season opening on April 12, visitors to Drayton Manor have been able to enjoy parts of the new area; however, further phased opening measures including additional new attractions are planned. “[…] We’ve been busy behind the scenes while the park has been closed, and we’re really pleased with how the new area is looking already and can’t wait to see it finished.
