USA: Hersheypark Celebrates 115th Season

With the official season kick-off on April 30, Pennsylvania’s Hersheypark welcomed the first guests in its anniversary season 2021 – this year, the amusement park owned by the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Company and themed after Hershey sweets and chocolates celebrates its 115th anniversary. During the “Springtime in the Park” period, guests have already been able to enjoy the park on April weekends. Last year, the park added a new highlight to its visitor offer with the new theme area “Hershey’s Chocolate Town” and its Hyper Coaster “Candymonium” from B&M (cf. EAP 5/2020). The new themed area, the development costs of which amounted to some 150 million Dollar (around 124 million Euro), is scheduled to be completed with the opening of the new “The Chocolatier” restaurant on May 29.

The park announced it will offer longer opening hours this season. For example, the park will be open daily beginning May 31 through September 6, with additional “Hersheypark in the Dark” weekends in October. Other seasonal events are scheduled to follow in November and December. (eap)
