National Science Museum Thailand: Hüttinger Carries Out Contract

The Kurt Hüttinger GmbH of Schwaig near Nuremburg has developed a travelling exhibition that is to be effectively used within the scope of a new “outreach programme”. The Science Museum is located north of Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok. For a large proportion of the population in the provinces of Thailand, however, it is pretty difficult to get to the capital. The museum has therefore initiated this new project with an interactive exhibition, which can easily be installed and uninstalled without a problem and thus presented at smaller towns far from the capital – especially at schools. In terms of its contents, the exhibition also makes references to school curricula, focusing on the subjects of arithmetic, mechanics, magnetism, electricity, optics and cognition. Thirty-five exhibits and installations invite visitors to do some independent experimentation and make their own discoveries. (eap)
