Hong Kong: Disney Explorers Lodge at HKDL Now Open

This past Monday, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) opened its new “Disney Explorers Lodge” resort hotel, counting 750-rooms (c.f. EAP, 5/15 & EAP News from March 3rd, 2017). The storyline behind the new accommodation offer takes place in the grand era of exploration and tells of explorers who built a lodge based on their adventures around the world, adding their own artifacts and specimens gathered during their lifetime travels. At Disney Explorers Lodge, more than 1,000 artifacts and memorabilia are on display throughout the hotel. Furthermore, four distinctly themed outdoor gardens – Oceania, South America, Africa and Asia – envelop the new building complex. The gastronomic offer includes Chinese delights at “Dragon Wind”, international cuisine at the “World of Color” restaurant and laid-back dining at “Chart Room Café”. For all those seeking refreshment on hot days the “Rain Drop Pool” invites to cool off.

“Hong Kong Disneyland Resort is committed to investing in new experiences across our resort, inspiring our trade partners to develop new products that give guests new reasons to visit Hong Kong. The new Disney Explorers Lodge brings the best of our famous creativity and legendary guest service and delivers a resort hotel experience unlike anything we’ve ever created,” said Terruce Wang, Vice President of Sales and Hotel Operations, HKDL.
