Germany: New Upcycling Hotel at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf Rövershagen Welcomes First Guests

Germany’s first upcycling hotel, named “Alles Paletti“ (Engl.: “Everything’s Alright”), has opened today at Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Rövershagen (located close to the Baltic Sea), welcoming its first overnight guests (cf. our report in EAP, 6/17). The new hotel comprises two levels and offers a total of 50 rooms, called “treasure chests”. The approx. 26 square meter large hotel rooms for up to four persons each feature numerous “old treasures”, which were creatively upcycled to new objects: Euro-pallets serve as furniture, molten jam glasses form the window crystals and old shopping bags have been turned into colorful cushions. The “Alles Paletti” hotel is directly connected to Karls Erlebnis-Dorf and expands the existing overnight stay offer of the “Karls Lieblings-Lauben” holiday homes, which opened at the park in October 2017.

Tomorrow, Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Rövershagen will start into the new season, launching novelties such as a “bounce paradise” with four air-filled cushions of up to seven meters height. The “little ones” will be able to enjoy a water-filled “strawberry wobble cushion”. Furthermore, the park is adding a new large marble run and a mini karting track. For a smooth arrival to the park, Karls Rövershagen has invested in an expansion of its parking lot. (eap)
