Italy: Leolandia Theme Park to Open Peppa Pig Theme Area with Further Themed Attractions

Since the middle of this year, visitors to Italy’s Leolandia theme park have been able to meet and greet the British cartoon character “Peppa Pig” and her friends on a worksite scenery within the park (cp. EAP news from 04 July 2014). As indicated by this development, this installation was just a foretaste for what is to come. As has been made public recently, the international entertainment corporation Entertainment One (eOne) Licensing has signed a four-year contract to bring a dedicated Peppa Pig theme area to the Leolandia theme park. In addition to the previously announced house of Peppa’s family, next year will also see the opening of a Peppa Pig water play area. Five more Peppa Pig-themed attractions will be added in 2016 and 2017. (eap)
