Energetic Start for New Voltron Coaster at Europa-Park

(v.l.n.r.): Thomas, Jürgen, Roland & Michael Mack starten durch. (eap) Today is the big day: After working around the clock over the past few weeks on the final details of the new multi-launch roller coaster at Europa-Park, the official inauguration of “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” took place this morning with a symbolic handover of the keys and blessing. The Mack family welcomed numerous invited guests from politics, business, culture and the press to the official opening ceremony. The new major attraction will be open to all visitors as of Friday (April 26).

The ride, which was manufactured by the “in-house” rollercoaster manufacturer Mack Rides and features a globally new and unique element with its Beyond Vertical Launch right at the start of the ride, can be found in the new themed world of Croatia. A tower protruding from the station building is visible from afar and shows guests the way to the new signature ride. Almost 30 elements are passed along the more than 1.3 km long rollercoaster track, making Voltron an exciting new attraction for thrill-seekers among the park guests.

All Mack companies – including Mack Rides, Mack Solutions, MackMedia and MackMagic – were involved in the development and implementation of Voltron Nevera. “We planned, produced and built the ride ourselves and we will also operate it ourselves. Taking this risk stands for the efficiency of German SMEs. This is how we keep moving forward and create long-term growth, and we are particularly proud of this,” emphasized Europa-Park owner Roland Mack during the opening ceremony. Co-owner Jürgen Mack commented on the new Voltron coaster: “The intensity, the precision of the production and the theming – everything about Voltron is absolutely impressive.”

Since the opening of the Inverted Powered Coaster “Arthur” ten years ago, Europa-Park Resort, Germany’s largest theme park destination, which welcomed more than six million visitors last season, is once again presenting an innovative ride experience that is second to none. With a throughput of 1,500 pph, the new attraction further increases the overall capacity of Europa-Park – already one of the most powerful parks in the world.
