Netherlands: Toverland to Start Construction on New Theme Area

(f.l.t.r.): Jean Gelissen (general director Gelissen Group), Caroline Kortooms (general director Toverland) and Paul Oomen (technical director Toverland)at the construction site of the new theme area.

Earlier this year we had already reported on the expansion plans of Dutch amusement park Toverland, which envisage the creation of a completely new theme area with a Wing Coaster and a magical boat tour as anchor attractions (cp. EAP news of 05 May 2017).

Now that the building permit has been granted and the site has been made ready for construction, work on the new themed area has officially started this week. At the same time, the park launched a new marketing campaign under the motto „Be Part of Something Magical!“, which promises to provide „unannounced“ and „secret“ details and updates on the project in the next coming weeks and months. Anyone interested in subscribing to the „secret“ newsletter can do so at https://2018.toverland.com. A total of 30 million Euros will be invested into the construction project, which represents the largest expansion in the park’s history. (eap)
