Spain/UAE: Parques Reunidos to Sign Management Contract for Dubai Safari Park

Spanish operating group Parques Reunidos and the Arabian real-estate developer Meraas have recently announced to enter a management contract for the operation of Dubai Safari Park, Dubai’s new large-scale animal park opened in late 2017 (cf. EAP news from January 23rd, 2018).

“We are grateful to Meraas and Dubai Municipality for entrusting us with the operation of a remarkable project such as Dubai Safari. This agreement aligns with our continued international expansion efforts and offers us a valuable opportunity to leverage the expertise we have accumulated through the management of top-ranking animal parks around the world. It is also a testimony of the successful partnership we have built with Meraas by working closely on some of the company’s entertainment projects,” explained Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Parques Reunidos.

The Spanish operating group is also responsible for the management of MotiongateTM Dubai and Bollywood Parks, both of which are part of Dubai Parks and Resorts (cf. EAP, 6/16). The theme park complex was developed by DXB Entertainments, which is largely owned by Meraas. (eap)
